Samsung is set to expand its mid-range smartphone lineup in the country. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer will release the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G to launch today in India. The new smartphone will succeed the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G that was launched in 2021. According to Samsung’s official website, the launch event will be a virtual one that will commence today (April 22) at 12 pm. The event will be live-streamed on the company’s official website, YouTube and other social media channels. However, it is important to note that this handset has already been launched globally and it is now coming to India.
Samsung Galaxy M53 5G expected price and availability
Rumours suggest that Samsung will reduce the price of the Galaxy M52 5G and will reveal the new smartphone at the same price as its predecessor. The base model of Galaxy M52 5G comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and has a price of Rs 24,999. Whereas, the top model of the phone with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage is available at Rs 26,999. However, the company has not shared the official pricing, features and availability yet.
Samsung Galaxy M53 5G expected specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G smartphone is likely to pack a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display that will support a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC backed with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The upcoming smartphone will house a quad-camera setup that includes 108MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone will also sport a 32MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone will pack a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging support and reports suggest that Samsung will not include a charger in the box. The device will run on One UI 4.2 based on Android 12 out-of-the-box.
