Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is likely to get a 200MP camera | Digit

According to reports, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the first Samsung smartphone with a 200MP camera.

The latest news about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra says that it will have a 200MP camera on the back. This adds to the strength of the rumors about this phone. Yes, you heard that right: a 200MP Samsung phone camera has been floating around the internet for a while, and the S23 Ultra will likely include it when it comes out next year.

Korea IT News recently reported that the Galaxy S23 Ultra would use a 200MP sensor as its primary camera. It will only be available on the Ultra model of the Galaxy S23 series. It will replace the current-generation 108MP camera, which has been used for two generations since the S20 Ultra.

The report says that Samsung has talked to its major camera partners about putting a 200MP sensor in its next Ultra model. It’s made up of Samsung Electronics and Samsung Electro-Mechanics, which are the only parts of Samsung that can make 200MP cameras for its phones. Interestingly, the 200MP camera sensor might also make its way down to Samsung’s lower-end smartphones, though there’s no time frame yet.

The first Samsung phone with a 108MP camera was the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Since then, it has been used in S21 Ultra and S22 Ultra. By the time S23 Ultra comes out, the tech will be three years old. This is probably one of the reasons why Samsung is switching from the current 108MP camera to a huge 200MP camera on the S23 Ultra, likely giving it even better camera performance than it already had.

Among other things, the South Korean giant will likely add Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max on the S23 Ultra, a fingerprint scanning technology that’s seen on the iQOO 9 Pro and the Vivo X80 Pro. It has a large scanning area and can scan quickly and more precisely.
