Samsung Galaxy S22 series may come with a 50MP RGBW sensor – Times of India

It was earlier reported that Samsung is working on a new camera setup for its Galaxy S22 series phones. A new leak suggests that the company may introduce a 50MP RGBW sensor in the upcoming series. Tipster Ice Universe has posted on Twitter saying that Samsung will introduce a 50MP RGBW sensor and 200MP sensor in September this year. Adding to the information, another leakster wrote, in one of the replies to the tweet, that the 50MP RGBW sensor may be equipped on the Galaxy S22 series phones.
Of all the premium features, Samsung Galaxy S series phones are often known for their camera abilities. However, for the last two generations — S20 and S21 — the company has been using the same triple camera setup. It includes a 64MP camera paired with two 12MP shooters.

The new leak on the availability of 50MP RGBW sensor on Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphones coincides with a previous report by leakster named FrontTron. He, in June this year, claimed that the series may come with a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter and a 12MP 3X telephoto lens.
Samsung has already confirmed that there will be no Note series device this year. It said that it will introduce the S-Pen stylus, which was previously restricted to Galaxy Note series, to other high-end smartphones. The company has already added S Pen support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It is expected to add the stylus support to its upcoming Galaxy fold device and to the Galaxy S22 series. But this is just a speculation and the information must be taken with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, the company is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11. The company is expected to unveil its next-generation of Galaxy fold smartphones at the event.
