Samsung has expanded its F series smartphone range in India. The company has launched the Galaxy F22 phone in the country. The handset is a budget-category phone that is priced below Rs 15,000. The device comes with an AMOLED screen and is powered by MediaTek processor.
Samsung Galaxy F22: Price and specs
Samsung Galaxy F22 has two RAM variants. The base model packs 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. It is priced at Rs 12,499.
Another variant comes with 6GB RAM and has an internal storage of 128GB. It carries a price tag of Rs 14,499. The handset will go on sale at 12pm on July 13.
It will be available via Walmart-owned Flipkart, Samsung online store and offline retail stores. As an introductory offer, buyers can get Rs 1,000 off on prepaid transactions on Flipkart.
Samsung Galaxy F22: Specifications
Samsung Galaxy F22 has a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. The phone’s screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz and offers high brightness mode of 600 nits. The smartphone comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and features Dolby Atmos support.
The handset is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor. Samsung Galaxy F22 houses a 6,000mAh battery and comes with a 15W USB-C fast charger. The device can support up to 25W charging. Samsung claims that the phone can deliver 130 hours of music playback, 40 hours of talk time, 25 hours of video playback and 24 hours of internet usage time.
Samsung Galaxy F22 runs on the company’s own UI 3.1 based on Android 11. As far as the camera is concerned, the handset boasts of a quad-camera setup at the back. It is equipped with a 48MP main camera with ISOCELL Plus technology and GM2 sensor, paired with a 5MP ultra-wide lens with a 123-degree field of view, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth camera.
At the front, the device comes with a 13MP selfie camera. Galaxy F22 comes with camera modes like Hyperlapse, Slow motion, Food Mode, Pro mode and AR zone. Colour options of the phone include Denim Blue and Denim Black.
