NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics giant Samsung has expanded its Galaxy A-series of smartphones with the launch of Samsung Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G smartphones. Launched in Europe, both the smartphones run Android 11 operating system and are powered by MediaTek processor.
The smartphones come with Samsung Pay and are backed by a 5000mAh battery with 15W adaptive fast charging support.
The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G comes in Gray, White, Mint and Violet colour options and its price starts at 229 euros (Rs 20,295). The smartphone will be available for purchase in Europe starting in July. On the other hand, the 4G variant comes in Gray, White, Mint and Violet colour options and the company has not yet revealed its price and availability details.
Samsung has also not revealed any details about the global rollout of the smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G specifications
Powered by octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G comes with a 6.6-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The smartphone packs 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and comes in two storage variants 64GB and 128GB. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.
Samsung Galaxy A22 5G runs Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI. The dual SIM smartphone sports a triple rear camera with 48MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to an 8MP selfie camera.
The dual SIM smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and houses a 5000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Samsung Galaxy A22 specifications
Samsung Galaxy A22 features a 6.4-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution. The smartphone packs octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM. The smartphone offers 64GB/128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by installing a microSD card.
The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 11 operating system topped with Samsung’s own layer of customisation. Samsung Galaxy A22 comes with a quad-rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro sensor.
There is also a 13MP selfie shooter in the front.
The smartphone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
