The first gameplay trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City has arrived as part of the Nacon Connect event, showing off the iconic cyborg’s talent for keeping the peace in Old Detroit. As you’d expect, the city streets are filthy and filled with violent perps who follow their own crime directives. Fortunately, RoboCop happens to be packing plenty of firepower underneath his durable Titanium shell, his signature targeting system, and a haymaker powered by several billion dollars of OCP research and development.
This version of RoboCop even has an ability that his cinematic incarnations were lacking, as he’s able to break into a sprint and close the distance relatively quickly. You can see all the carnage and atmospheric detail below, but if you’re looking to see RoboCop commit gross bodily harm below the belt of criminals, you’re going to be disappointed.
Based on the 1987 film of the same name and scheduled to launch in 2023 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, RoboCop: Rogue City is being developed by Rambo: The Video Game, Steel Empire, and Terminator: Resistance studio Teyon. Peter Weller is reprising his role for the game, and the game’s story features “an all-new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth” as you decide the best way for RoboCop to uphold his prime directives.
Several other games from Nacon’s upcoming release schedule were also featured in its presentation, including new looks at The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and the psychological horror title Ad Infinitum.
