Roblox: How To Beat Murder Mine

Murder Mine is a Roblox horror game that pits players against a dangerous killer hiding inside a mine. You’ll have to evade the killer while searching for items, repairing rail tracks, and opening up new sections of the mine. The title can be played either solo or in groups of up to eight players, and coordinating efforts is important in multiplayer.

Time is precious, and an understanding of your objectives is vital for success. In order to beat Murder Mine, then, you should know where all the important items are and how to avoid being caught by the killer. Here’s everything you need to know to turn the tables on the fiendish killer and escape this dark, nightmarish realm.

How To Enter The Murder Mine

Your first task in Murder Mine is to locate and unlock the entrance to the mine itself. To do this, you’ll need to follow several steps:

• Find and collect the lock pick.
• Solve the breaker box puzzle.
• Fix the mineshaft elevator.

Finding The Lock Pick

The lock pick can spawn in multiple locations, but can usually be found in the showers or the dining room. The lock pick itself is hard to spot, but you should see a faint sparkle hovering over it. Pick up the lock pick, then head for the power room. This is the tallest building on the map, and a padlock on the door will initially prevent you from entering it. Click on the padlock: as long as you have the lock pick in your inventory, it will fall off the door.

Solving The Breaker Box Puzzle

Once you enter the power room, you’ll see wooden planks hanging over a spike pit in the ground. Most of these wooden planks are not safe to walk over, and will send you falling to your death. The best way to figure out which planks are safe is to walk forward for a moment, then back off the plank. If it isn’t safe, it will fall and disappear. Don’t worry too much if you do fall, though, as you’ll just respawn at the entrance. You won’t have to start Murder Mine over again.

After you’ve made it across the spike pit, head for the breaker box on the wall. You’ll see a series of switches with red lights on the left and green lights on the right. To solve the puzzle, you need to flip the switches in the correct order: right, left, right, right, and left.

Fixing The Mineshaft Elevator

Exit the power room and walk straight ahead toward the garage. Hit the red button next to the garage door to open it. Turn left and keep walking until you find the mineshaft elevator, which is currently broken. To fix it, head up the stairs until you reach the top floor, then remove the piece of metal stuck in the elevator gears. You’ll see the gears start to turn as the elevator comes back on.

Head back downstairs and walk inside the elevator. Your screen will fade to black, and you’ll descend into the mine below.

How To Survive In Murder Mine

Murder Mine becomes significantly more dangerous once you go underground. You’ll have the same eerie experience down here as you will getting lost in a Minecraft cave. In order to survive and escape, you’ll need to collect important items, repair the tracks, and detonate sections of the mine. All the while, you’ll be pursued by Norman, the killer responsible for the original miners’ deaths.

Screwdriver Location

The screwdriver is necessary for progressing through Murder Mine. Once you’ve entered the mine, pull the lever next to the minecart, which will surge forward and bust the metal doors open. Head straight until you reach the end of the hall, then turn right. The screwdriver will be on a small table next to some other equipment. Pick the screwdriver up, then walk back to the hall and turn left. You’ll find a metal gate next to another minecart. Click on the screws to remove them, then click on the gate. It will disappear, allowing you to explore a new area.

Rail Track Location

If you try to move the minecart next to the gate, a message will pop up stating that the track needs to be repaired first. You can find an extra rail in the new section of the mine. Head down the new path, then turn left once you reach the minecart at the end. Turn right once you reach the end of that track, then take the first left in the side path. When you pick up the rail track, you’ll see a message that the broken track has been repaired. Head back to the minecart and pull the lever to push the cart forward.

Detonating The Dynamite

Throughout the mine, you’ll find sticks of dynamite, as well as a detonator. Once you’ve collected three sticks of dynamite, place them in the minecart then press the detonator. The wall in front of the minecart will get blown away, allowing you to progress further through the mine.

Ax Location

An ax can be found behind the second metal gate inside the mine. Use the screwdriver to get past the gate, then head down the corridor until you see the dying miner at the end. Click on the ax to remove it from the miner’s chest and place it in your inventory.

Despite the ax’s description, it can only be used on one specific set of wooden planks. Head toward the boarded-off corridor next to the wooden bridge, and click on it to remove the planks. Then head down the corridor and wait for the moving platform to take you across the chasm.

Drill Location

Once you’ve made it across, you’ll encounter a series of circular saws along the wall to your left. Walking into the saws will kill you, so time each step for when the saw lifts over your head. Once you’re past the saws, climb over the chasm using the narrow metal beams. Through a hallway behind the beams, you’ll find the drill on a small table.

Repairing The Bridge

Behind a “Radiation Screening Zone” sign, you’ll find a metal gate next to a switch. Flip the switch, but don’t walk forward; you need to collect wooden planks and repair the bridge first. These wooden planks spawn randomly throughout the mine, so keep a close eye out for them as you explore. You need to find all five planks of wood, then return to the bridge. Once the planks are in place, cross the bridge and use the drill to open the metal gate on the other side.

Igniting The Spiderwebs

This section of the mine is infested with large, radioactive spiders. Unlike the Insatiable Spider from Hogwarts Legacy, there’s no way to defeat these guys in battle. To get past them, you need to combine gasoline and petroleum jelly into a flammable mixture that will set fire to the webs. The petroleum jelly can be found stuck in a web at the end of a small corridor on your left, while the gasoline is at the end of a longer corridor at the back of the mine. Take both items to the coffee machine, which is next to the metal gate you opened. Place both items into the machine, then hit the On button. Take your flammable mixture to the impassable spider webs next to the central room and move away. The spider webs will catch fire and disappear, allowing you to move past them.

Repairing The Wire

Throughout this portion of the mine, a black wire runs across the walls. You need to repair the wire by interacting with all four broken portions of it. Three of these portions can be found prior to the spider webs, but you’ll need to ignite the webs to find the fourth. Once you’ve fully repaired the wire, head to the central room and flick the white switch on the wall. The giant spider in the room will flee, allowing you to grab the pickaxe.

Escaping The Murder Mine

Head for the rocky wall down the corridor, and use the pickax to break it open. Walk across the wooden bridge until you reach the mine’s exit, which is past a narrow hallway. You’ll leave the mine, but you aren’t done yet; you need to make it across the mountain path first, which is being bombarded with falling boulders. Look up as you walk forward and steer clear of the boulders as they roll down the mountain.

At the end of the mountain path is a train. Make your way inside and wait for your screen to fade to black. You’ll see a cutscene of the train departing the mountain and receive a Roblox badge for completing the game.
