Remnant 2 offers a surprising amount of content and replayability thanks to its procedurally generated maps. Add to that all the different worlds you can explore and all the Archetypes you can explore them with, and you’ve got a game that can easily keep you busy for a few hundred hours.
Besides the main campaign, Remnant 2 also features an Adventure Mode that adds even more value to the game. Adventure Mode isn’t playable right off the bat, but you can unlock it by simply progressing the main campaign up to a certain point.
What Is Adventure Mode?
Adventure Mode was designed to be a much shorter experience compared to the main campaign. While more or less identical in terms of gameplay, in Adventure Mode you can only explore one world at a time. This is a more focused experience meant to give players the opportunity to complete quests and collect items they may have missed the first time around.
Another great thing about Adventure Mode is that it lets you replay worlds at a higher difficulty without having to reroll your main campaign. Remnant 2 is a deceptively challenging game, so you generally don’t want to jump right away into Veteran or Nightmare difficulty. It’s a much better idea to complete worlds on Survivor and then bump up the difficulty while playing Adventure Mode.
How To Unlock Adventure Mode In Remnant 2
In order to unlock Adventure Mode you’ll first need to complete one of Remnant 2’s many worlds by defeating said world’s final boss. Once you do that, you’ll receive a notification telling you that Adventure Mode has been unlocked. To actually start a new campaign in Adventure Mode, you’ll need to visit the World Stone in Ward 13 and access the World Settings. You can jump into Adventure Mode from there.
It’s important to note that only completed worlds will be available to play in Adventure Mode. Since this counts as a separate mode, you don’t need to worry about it affecting your main campaign. Not just that but you can switch between the two at any time, albeit you’ll still need to visit Ward 13 to do it. Also worth mentioning is that most of your progress carries over from one campaign to the next. The only thing that won’t carry over is the world itself, which you’ll need to start exploring from scratch all over again.
