Remnant 2 – How To Defeat Gwendil: The Unburnt

Ironborough is one of the unique locations in the Losomn realm in Remnant 2. Unlike any other world where players meet non-human creatures, Ironborough is actually the home of humans, but they do seem to be some cult members, which makes them even more dangerous than the otherworldly creatures.

Upon your exploration of Ironborough, you will eventually face a boss called Gwnedil if you follow the campaign missions. Now, if you find it difficult to defeat this boss, there is a single trick that could help you get rid of Gwendil in only a few minutes.

How To Defeat Gwendil: The Unburnt

The battle arena in this fight features an upper floor and a ground floor. There is no way for you to climb up to the upper floor, where the boss is located, which means you can never deal melee damage to her.

During the fight, smaller enemies will spawn both on the ground floor and the upper floor. The Handler will give you a massive advantage in this fight as your companion will deal with the ground floor’s enemies or at least distract them for quite a while, which leaves you free to deal with the boss and a few other enemies on the upper floor.

Speaking of the magic trick to kill Gwendil: The Unburnt, you will soon realize that the only way she can damage you is the incendiary grenade that she throws at you, leaving Burning effect on the player. However, not only you can deny that attack, but also you can use it against Gwendil herself. So, all you need to do is to shoot continuously at Gwendil’s right hand, which is the left hand from your perspective. This is the hand that Gwendil uses to throw grenades and if you manage to hit the grenade while it is in her hands, the grenade will explode and deal nearly 300 damage to her.

Regarding the fact that she grabs grenades quickly one after another, you can drain over half of Gwendil’s HP if you manage to continuously shoot at the grenades in her hand. If you are not using The Handler character class, you have to stop dealing damage to the boss from time to time to kill the enemies on the ground floor, which lengthens the fight.

However, there is something about Gwndil that you also need to know about. This boss has a Regenrator passive skill, which means she heals herself overtime during the battle. So, you do need to continue damaging her to deny that healing effect.

Keep in mind that once Gwendil’s health is below 20%, she will change her location on the upper floor, and you need to run around the arena to find her and continue damaging her before she can heal herself.

Finding ammo could be a real challenge in this fight, which is why we suggest you add an ammo box to your inventory.
