Redmi A1, Redmi 11 Prime 4G, and 5G models are here in India: Price, specs, and features | Digit

Redmi has unveiled a bunch of budget smartphones in the country today. The lineup includes Redmi A1, Redmi 11 Prime 4G, and Redmi 11 Prime 5G. All three bring MediaTek chips, Android 12, and a 5000mAh battery, among other things.

Redmi India had its DiwaliwithMi launch event wherein we got to see the new Prime series of smartphones and the introduction of the Redmi A series. So, Redmi 11 Prime 5G has launched in India along with the Redmi 11 Prime 4G variant and Redmi A1. Let’s see what each of these new phones bring to the table.

Redmi A1 Specs and Features

Redmi A1

Redmi A1 has got flat edges and rounded corners. The back of the phone has a square-shaped camera bump consisting of an 8MP main camera and a secondary sensor. The rear side comes in black, green, and blue. 

The front of the device has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a teardrop notch. Inside, there is a 5MP selfie shooter. 

Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, LPDDR4x RAM, eMMC 5.1 storage, and a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support. You get Android 12 software, dual VoLTE SIMs, a dedicated SD card slot up to 512GB, a 3.5mm jack, and FM Radio with the phone.

Redmi 11 Prime Specs and Features (4G and 5G)

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G can be bought in silver, green, and black colors while the Redmi 11 Prime 4G comes in purple, green and black colors.

There is a 6.58-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD display on both phones.

The rear camera setup of both includes a 50MP primary camera while the front seats an 8MP selfie shooter on both variants.

Internally, the 4G Redmi 11 Prime ships with MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, and the 5G model comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. The memory configurations go up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. Both also pack in a 5000mAh battery with support for 18W charging speed (22.5W adapter included in the box).

For connectivity, the Redmi 11 Prime 4G offers dual VoLTE SIM, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and a USB-C port. Meanwhile, the 5G model has 5G support and Bluetooth 5.1. 

Moreover, you also get a side-mounted fingerprint reader, IR blaster, Widevine L1 certification, 3.5mm jack, face unlock support, and Android 12-based MIUI 13 software on both handsets.

Price and Availability

Redmi 11 Prime 5G goes on sale through Amazon, Mi.com Mi Home, and other retail stores from September 9 at 12 PM. It is priced at ₹13,999 for the 4GB + 64GB model and ₹15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model. As part of the launch offers, you can get up to ₹1000 discount using ICICI bank cards. 

The 4G only Redmi 11 Prime costs ₹12,999 for the 4GB + 64GB unit and the 6GB + 128GB variant carries a price tag of ₹14,999. It’s availability details are not declared at the moment. 

Redmi A1 comes in a solo 2GB + 32GB model at ₹6,499 and will be available from September 9 at 4 PM via Mi.com, Amazon, Mi Home, and retail outlets.
