Realme Book Slim to launch on August 18, Realme reveals one feature that may make you buy it – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Realme is all set to enter the Indian laptop market. The company has confirmed the launch of its first laptop in India. Realme has started sending out media invites for the laptop which reveal its name, called Realme Book Slim. The Realme Book Slim will launch on August 18 along with the Realme GT 5G and Realme GT 5G Master Edition smartphones. While Realme has not confirmed much on specs front so far, it has said that the Realme Book Slim will be one of the slimmest and lightest laptops available in its segment. So, it can be an option for those looking for a sleek option.
Realme Book Slim launch event details
Realme Book Slim will be unveiled in a virtual launch event. The launch event will begin at 12.30 pm IST and those interested can live stream the event on the company’s official YouTube and Facebook channels. The company will be launching a Realme Book laptop in its home market China, which appears to be an Apple MacBook Air look-alike. It is not clear so far if the company will bring it to the Indian market
Realme Book Slim leaked specifications
As per a recent online leak, Realme Book Slim is said to come with a metallic chassis and slim bezels. The laptop is said to feature a backlit keyboard and a large touchpad.
Realme Book SLim is also said to house a total of three microphones, 2 USB-C 3.1 ports, one USB 3.2Gen 1 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop is also expected to come with stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon.
Realme Book Slim is expected to feature a 14-inch 2K display and could be powered by 11th Generation Intel Core i5 processor. The device is also said to pack 16GB of RAM and run Windows 10 operating system.
Realme Book Slim is expected to come with 512GB SSD space and backed by a 54Wh battery that comes with support for 65W fast charging. Some online rumours also suggest that the company will price the Realme Book Slim under Rs 40,000.
