The trailer for the upcoming anime film Psycho-Pass: Providence has been released. The film is set to release in Indian cinemas on July 28.
The film is set in the year 2118 and follows Chief Inspector Akane Tsunemori as she investigates the murder of Professor Milicia Stronskaya. Stronskaya was a researcher who was working on a secret project that could potentially shake the foundations of Japan’s government and the Sibyl System.

Akane is joined in her investigation by former enforcer Shinya Kogami, who has returned from exile. Together, they must race against time to stop the Peacebreakers, a foreign paramilitary organisation that is also targeting Stronskaya’s research.
The film is directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani and features returning cast members including Kana Hanazawa as Akane Tsunemori, Tomokazu Seki as Shinya Kogami, and Yōko Hikasa as Mika Shimotsuki.
Psycho-Pass: Providence is the latest instalment in the popular anime franchise, which first premiered in 2012. The franchise has since spawned several television series, films, and video games.
