Prices of Microsoft 365, Office 365 subscriptions increased: Here’s from when users will have to pay more – Times of India

Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft has announced that it is going to increase the prices of Office 365 and Microsoft 365 subscriptions, which according to the company is the first substantive pricing update since the company launched Office 365 a decade ago. The increased prices will go into effect on March 1, 2022.
“This updated pricing reflects the increased value we have delivered to our customers over the past 10 years,” said Microsoft in a blog post.
New pricing

  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic (from $5 to $6 per user)
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium (from $20 to $22)
  • Office 365 E1 (from $8 to $10)
  • Office 365 E3 (from $20 to $23)
  • Office 365 E5 (from $35 to $38)
  • Microsoft 365 E3 (from $32 to $36)

As of now, there are no changes in pricing for education and consumer products at this time.
These increases will apply globally with local market adjustments for certain regions, said the company. The new prices will come into effect in six months, starting March 1, 2022.
New India pricing is unknown at the moment, but we do expect details about this to be made official soon. Currently, the Microsoft 365 Business Basic plan starts in India at Rs 125 per user and the Microsoft 365 Business Premium goes up to Rs 1,440.
New features coming to Microsoft Office
Microsoft is adding unlimited dial-in capabilities for Microsoft Teams meetings across its enterprise, business, frontline, and government suites over the next few months.
“Available with subscription in over 70 countries and with interactive support in 44 languages and dialects, unlimited dial-in provides peace of mind that users will be able to join their Microsoft Teams meeting from virtually any device regardless of location,” said the company.
