Prateik Babbar: The OTT world has revived me in many ways

For actor Prateik Babbar, there are many checkboxes he needs to tick in his career, and he is glad that the digital medium is helping him doing so.

Over the years, the 35-year-old has made his presence felt in the digital space with his varied characters in projects such as Four More Shots Please!, Cobalt Blue and Hiccups and Hookups. In fact, he credits the platform for turning out to be a stepping stone to his career.

“The OTT world has revived me in many ways. It has given me opportunities to showcase my work. My goal has been the same and will remain the same – to be the best at what I do. There are no shortcuts to success. I am a 24/7 ‘work in progress’,” he tells us.

And the evolving content strategy is the reason behind the changing opportunities as well, which is adding to the satisfaction metre.

“I am extremely grateful to be able to do what I love the most. I will never be satisfied or content because I will always have a hunger for more! I would like to conduct myself in the same manner because there is a lot to do in a short span,” he shares, adding, “There are many dreams to achieve, many checkboxes to tick! I have enjoyed all the work that I have done, and I will continue to do so.”

That is something which is being reflected in the work he has lined up, including Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan, India Lockdown and Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai.

“As I said, I am a 24/7 work in progress, striving to be a better human, a better actor, a better role model, and become the best version of myself,” says Babbar, who is currently working on a film with Taapsee Pannu and Pratik Gandhi.
