Pokemon Go Glittering Garden Event Announced, Set To Introduce Shiny Petilil

Niantic has recently unveiled an addition to Pokemon Go — the Glittering Garden event, slated for early August.

During this event, players will have the opportunity to encounter various Grass-type and Fairy-type Pokemon, similar to those set to feature in the Pokemon Go Fest 2023 held in Osaka, London, and New York.

The event’s purpose is to allow players worldwide to capture some of these unique Pokemon that were originally exclusive to the festival locations. Additionally, players can look forward to the debut of Shiny Petilil in the game during the Glittering Garden event.

The Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event is set to begin on August 5 at 10 am local time and conclude on August 8 at 8 pm local time. Here are all the important details regarding this event.

Glittering Garden event features

During this event, players can expect to encounter the following Pokemon more frequently in the game: Bulbasaur, Jigglypuff, Oddish, Hoppip, Seedot, Cacnea, Petilil, Ferroseed, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Dedenne.

Additionally, shiny versions of these Pokemon may also make an appearance. For those hatching eggs, featured Pokemon from 2km eggs will include Budew, Cherubi, Sewaddle, Petilil, and Bounsweet. Lucky players might even have a chance to hatch a Larvesta from 2km eggs.

The Glittering Garden event will also run a special feature where players can find specific Pokemon at their local parks. Players can find Petilil on August 5, Cacnea on August 6, Oddish on August 7, and Seedot on August 8.

The Pokemon Go Glittering Garden event bonuses include the following:

1. Earning hearts with Buddy Pokemon by walking half the distance.
2. An increased chance of earning Candy XL.
3. A 1.5 multiplier on candy and stardust for hatching Pokemon.

During the event, players can encounter Tangela, Roselia, Petilil, and Foongus through field research tasks. A free timed research will be available, featuring challenges centred around exploration and hatching eggs. This timed research will expire when the event ends on August 8.
