The month of August will be bringing a plethora of events for Pokemon Go fans giving them exciting rewards and new Pokemon.
For the first Spotlight Hour of the month, Hisuian Voltorb will be the featured Pokemon. After a couple of disappointing Pokemon in Hisuian Voltorb made its way to the game earlier this year along with the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. While players got a chance to catch Voltorb in a Spotlight Hour held in February, it didn’t include the Hisuian sibling of the Pokemon. If you are one of the unlucky ones who still haven’t managed to catch a Hisuian Voltorb, this is the best chance to catch one considering that its spawn rate will be twice what it usually is. The event will start at 6 pm local time and players will get only an hour to make the most out of the event.
There are some exciting bonuses for this week as well, as players will be getting twice the amount of Stardust while catching Pokemon. Stardust is a crucial item in the game and this could be a very good opportunity to evolve some of your lesser-used Pokemon. The Stardust boost works with any Pokemon, so it will irrespective of whether you are catching Voltorb or not.
Last but not the least, players might also be curious about the shiny status of Voltorb in Pokemon Go. Unfortunately, Shiny Hisuian Voltorb is not present in the game at the time of writing this article. Considering that the Pokemon was added to the game quite recently, one shouldn’t expect the shiny variant to arrive anytime soon. One would expect that it might have come with the Legends Arceus DLC, but that didn’t happen so it is safe to say it will be a while before Shiny Hisuian Voltorb arrives in Pokemon Go.
