Paulino, Alvarez voted Mid-South Conference Baseball Players of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson’s (Ky.) Henry Paulino and Cumberland’s (Tenn.) Daniel Alvarez were named Mid-South Conference Baseball Players of the Week, conference officials announced Monday. MSC Baseball Player of the Week

Henry Paulino – Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) – Jr. – OF – Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

• Paulino batted .667 (10-for-15) with two doubles, one home run, 12 RBIs and seven runs scored in four games for the Blue Raiders
• The junior started the week with a single, two RBIs and a run scored in a victory against Bryan (Tenn.)
• He was 5-for-6 with a home run, five RBIs and three runs scored in the first game of the series against Tennessee Southern
• Paulino collected four hits with two doubles, five RBIs and two runs scored in the second contest versus the Firehawks
• This marks the first weekly honor of the season and first of his career for Paulino

MSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Daniel Alvarez – Cumberland (Tenn.) – Sr. – Whittier, Calif.

• Alvarez tossed a seven-inning complete game in a doubleheader against Johnson (Tenn.)
• The senior righthander allowed one run on five hits with 12 strikeouts
• He retired 11 of the first 13 batters of the game, working around an error and a single in the third, before giving up a solo homer in the fourth
• This marks the first weekly honor of the season and first of his career for Alvarez
