It is common news that Overwatch 2 Beta testing begins today, April 26, 2022, but many players wish to learn how they can access the beta version of this highly anticipated sequel. First thing to know is that the Overwatch 2 Beta will only be available on PC, so the console players will need to hold out a bit longer.
Another thing to know is that even if the player has the proper system requirements, they will still need to request access from the Overwatch 2 website to check out the Beta version of the game. Only when a spot opens, is when a player will be invited and then be able to download the game and test it out on their system.
There is also another way to access the Overwatch 2 Beta and that is through Twitch Drops. The Twitch Drops access will be available a day later from the invites, that is April 27, 2022. The way Twitch Drops works is that the player needs to link their Battle.net account to their Twitch account and stream content from specific users. Overwatch 2 has partnered up with Twitch to commemorate the arrival of the PVP beta.
Only when the player streams Overwatch 2 content for four hours from the list of the streamers provided by the company, will they be able to get a drop for the beta access. These drops will only be provided on that very day, which is April 27, 2022. The players should be streaming content from the official streamers between 1 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET. As mentioned earlier, the player will need to stream content from any of the official streamers for four hours, watch time will accrue no matter what stream the player is watching from the list of streamers that you can check out below:
