NEW DELHI: Oppo launched the Oppo Reno 8 series of smartphones in China last month. Rumours are rife that the smartphone maker will reportedly launch the smartphones in India soon. The Chinese smartphone maker is said to launch two smartphones in the Reno 8 series in India — Oppo Reno 8 and Oppo Reno 8 Pro. Now a new rumour has surfaced online revealing the likely RAM and storage configurations and colour options of Reno 8 smartphone.
According to tipster Paras Guglani, Oppo is expected to launch the Oppo Reno 8 in India in June. The leak suggests that the smartphone will come in two variants — 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The smartphone is tipped to come in Shimmer Black and Shimmer Blue colour options.
Oppo Reno 8 expected specifications
Oppo Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It comes in two storage options — 128GB and 256GB.
Oppo Reno 8 sports a triple rear camera with 50MP main sensor, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. Front is home to a 32MP selfie camera. It runs Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of ColorOS 12. Oppo Reno 8 is backed by a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
