NEW DELHI: Oppo recently launched the Oppo Reno 8 series of smartphones in China. The Oppo Reno 8 series comprises three smartphones — Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro and the Reno 8 Pro+. Now, a new leak has surfaced online suggesting that the company may launch the new smartphone series in India in mid-June. The report also adds that the company may not launch the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ smartphone in the country. The smartphone maker will reportedly launch the Oppo Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 in the country.
According to a report by Passionategeekz, Oppo Reno 8 Pro is said to come in two storage variants — 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. The smartphone is said to launch in mid-June. The device is tipped to come in three colour options — Glazed Black, Glazed Green and Glazed White. The smartphone is said to be priced under Rs 40,000.
The report also suggests that the Oppo Reno 8 is said to pack the same configuration as the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ and the Reno 8 is said to come with Reno 8 Pro specifications in India.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro specifications
Running Android 12 operating system, Oppo Reno 8 Pro sports a .7-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display offers 120Hz refresh rate and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro packs MediaTek 8100-Max chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM. It comes in a single storage variant of 256GB. The imaging duties are handled by a triple rear camera setup which consists of a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens and 2MP macro shooter. Front is home to a 32MP selfie camera.
The smartphone features an under-display optical fingerprint sensor and houses a 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
