Chinese smartphone maker Oppo could launch three new smartphones in its Find X lineup soon, as per a report by Xiaomi Today. As per the report, the flagship series of smartphones could comprise a Find X phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, another Find X phone with a Dimensity 9000 chipset and a third whose chipset is not known yet, with the help of information gleaned from claimed Oppo and MediTek sources and tipster Digital Chat Station.
As per the claims, the first Find X phone which is expected to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset would arrive in Q1 2022. The report also says that the flagship series will be named the “Find X5” series, with the company intentionally skipping number 4 as the East Asian customers are superstitious about number 4 which could be misconstrued as having some connection with death as it sounds like that word. Oppo may also bring the 65-watt fast charging to the flagship.
The report also claims that the company is working on another foldable phone in the Find N lineup, this time with a horizontal hinge, set to be the competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Huawei P50 Pocket.
Oppo launched its first-ever foldable phone called ‘Oppo Find N’. The foldable phone comes with FlexForm Mode which allows the device to freely stand when unfolded at any angle between 50-120 degrees. Since the Find N can freely stand at various angles, the device also serves as its own tripod, thus helping make 4K HD time-lapse imaging, video calls and online meetings hands-free.
The device features a 7.1-inch main WUSXGA display with 1792×1920 pixel resolution. The display offers 120Hz refresh rate and comes with SCHOTT UTG glass protection. On the other hand, the foldable smartphone offers a 5.49-inch FHD+ display with a 1972×988 pixel resolution with 60Hz refresh rate. The external display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top. The Oppo Find N comes powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options — 256GB and 512GB.
