NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker OnePlus introduced its affordable Nord series of smartphones last year with the launch of OnePlus Nord. The company has now announced that it is all set to expand the series further with the launch of the Nord CE 5G smartphone.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that CE in the name of the smartphone stands for Core Edition and the new smartphone will be the revamped version of Nord with extra features. He also added the smartphone will deliver smooth and fast performance and it will come at an affordable price tag.
The company has also confirmed that the OnePlus Nord CE 5G will go on pre-order starting June 11 for the Red Club members. The smartphone will go on open sale starting June 16.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G: Launch date
OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch the Nord CE 5G smartphone in India on June 10.
The company scheduled the virtual launch event for 7 pm. It is expected that the company will live stream the event on its social media channels.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G: Online listing
The smartphone was recently listed on e-commerce website Amazon confirming that it will be available online on Amazon India. Along with this, Amazon is also teasing the launch of OnePlus Nord CE 5G and is also hosting an online quiz, allowing users to win a free smartphone.
OnePlus Nord CE 5G: Expected specifications
OnePlus Nord CE 5G is said to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen. The phone’s display may offer a refresh rate of 90Hz. The smartphone is also expected to come with a 64MP triple rear camera and 16MP front shooter.
The affordable OnePlus smartphone is expected to be powered by the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. The handset is said to come in two variants — 6GB + 64GB and 8GB+ 128GBGB.
