NEW DELHI: OnePlus has expanded its smart TV portfolio in India with the launch of a new smart TV under its Y 1 series. The company launched the affordable Y1 series in July last year. It currently offers smart TVs in 32-inch and 43-inch screen sizes.
As the name suggests, the all-new OnlePlus 40 Y1 comes with 40-inch screen size. Similar to the older models, the 40-inch model also offer 93% DCI-P2 colour Gamut and gamma engine. The new smart TV runs on Android TV operating system and sports a bezel-less design with 93% screen-to-body ratio. It features a similar remote control as the other models which allows any smartphone to act as the remote with OnePlus Connect app. Users can connect up to 5 smartphones.
Price and availability OnlePlus 40 Y1
As an introductory offer, the customers will be able to purchase the new Y series TV from OnePlus at Rs 21,999. This limited period offer starts May 26, 2021 and will be available till May 29, 2021. Once the offer ends, the smart TV will be available at Rs 23,999.
Customers can also avail no-cost EMI offers of up to 12 months on the purchase of the new OnePlus smart TV.
OnePlus Y1 40-inch smart TV specifications
The OnePlus Y1 40 has a full HD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution. The smart TV is powered by a quad-core Cortex A53 processor paired with 1GB RAM.
The smart television packs 8GB of internal storage. It runs Android TV 9.0 operating system topped with the company’s own Oxygen Play. It comes with Chromecast and Google Assistant built-in. On the audio front, the new TV supports Dolby Audio for surround sound. Similar to other OnePlus Y series TVs, it too has 20W box speakers.
OnePlus smart TV range in India
OnePlus smart TVs come under three series in India — OnePlus Q1 series, OnePlus U1 series and OnePlus Y1 series. The OnePlus Q1 series is the most highe-end, with smart TVs staring at Rs 62,900. OnePlus U1 series is mid-range and its prices start at Rs 52,999. OnePlus Y1 is the budget series, its the most affordable variant is priced at Rs 14,999.
