OnePlus Concept 11 Smartphone With Active Liquid Cooling System Revealed at MWC 2023; Here Is All You Need to Know

At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 in Barcelona, OnePlus has made its presence felt with a new concept design for a smartphone.

The popular smartphone manufacturer showcased the OnePlus 11 Concept phone, which comes with the company’s Active CryoFlux cooling technology. The technology is characterized by the glowing blue cooling pipes that can be seen from the back.

In a blog post released by OnePlus, the company explained the design of the Active CryoFlux cooling technology. It comprises of two piezoelectric micropumps, which pump icy cryogenic liquid into pipelines that are present between upper and lower diaphragm. This liquid in the pipeline takes heat away from the chipset, thus increasing performance. At the same time, the tech also delivers performance without a large increase in the phone’s weight and thickness.

According to OnePlus, the new tech reduced temperatures up to 2.1ºC during the pre-development stage. This allowed for an increase in frame rate by 3-4 FPS during gaming. The Active CryoFlux technology also helps during charging by decreasing temperatures 1.6ºC, which results in 30-45s of decreased charging time.

As it’s a concept device, OnePlus won’t be releasing the phone it showed at MWC Barcelona. However, the company has plans to introduce the Active CryoFlux technology in future devices that will be sold to the general public.
