Earlier this week, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed that the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro will be launched on January 5. Lau made the announcement through his official Weibo account. Rumours and leaks about the smartphone have been in circulation on the web for a while now. Now, in a new post, the executive has revealed more details about the smartphone.
In a new post on Weibo, Pete Lau has revealed that the OnePlus 10 Pro will feature an LTPO 2.0 display. For those who don’t know, LTPO stands for low-temperature polycrystalline oxide and it is a special type of OLED panel. This technology allows the display to have a flexible refresh range up to 120Hz. It also consumes less power as compared to LTPS OLED displays.
OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to be the first flagship smartphone launch of the year 2022. The company has already confirmed that the OnePlus 10 series will feature the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. As per a post by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 10 Pro will offer 80W wired fast charging support and 50W wireless fast charging support. If the post is to be believed then the smartphone may offer the fastest wired charging yet.
OnePlus 10 Pro rumoured specification
OnePlus 10 Pro is rumoured to sport a 6.7-inch 1440p display. The display is said to have a peak refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, the smartphones will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The SoC is rumoured to be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Reports suggest that the smartphone may come in two combinations of RAM and storage configurations, 8GB and 12GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB of storage.
When it comes to camera, the smartphone is rumoured to have triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary lens, 50MP ultra-wide lens, and an 8MP 3x telephoto lens. For selfie and video calls, the OnePlus 10 Pro is said to have a 32MP camera at the front.
