After a week-long break, Eiichiro Oda is coming back next week with the much-awaited Chapter 1057 of One Piece. Interestingly, some early spoilers for the upcoming chapter are already out, and they bring a bad news for Yamato’s fans.
One Piece has entered its final phase, and the mangaka confirmed that he aims to conclude the story in the next three years. The manga recently finished Luffy and Kaido’s legendary battle. The Straw Hat Captain unleashed his Gear 5 transformation to free Wanokuni from Kaido’s rule and became one of the four Emperors of the Seas.
We saw Shanks arriving on the shores of the Wano Country, where he learned about Luffy’s accomplishments. However, instead of meeting with Luffy, the red-haired pirate decided to go after the “One Piece” treasure. Well, it seems like Luffy isn’t wasting anymore time in the Wano Country either, as the recent leaks suggest that Straw Hat Pirates will leave Onigashima in Chapter 1057, titled “Conclusion.”
The spoilers confirm that the next chapter will conclude the Wano Country arc. Luffy, Kid, and Law will leave the Wano Country, and Momonosuke will say goodbye to his friends. Yamato already joined Luffy’s crew, but he isn’t ready to leave Wano yet. Apparently, Yamato will refuse to leave the island because he wants to travel around Wanokuni first. Luffy hands over his flag to the new Shogun, and says he’ll come back for Momo, Kinemon, and Yamato once they decide on becoming pirates. Finally, the Straw Hats sails away from the island, and Momo starts looking for a spot to place Luffy’s flag.
Honestly, it’s exciting that Luffy is heading out for new adventures. We can also expect his reunion with Shanks, since both pirates are searching for the same treasure. Also, Buggy the Clown has become more powerful with people like Mihawk and Crocodile in his crew, so he might create some trouble for Straw Hats in the upcoming chapters.
Chapter 1057 of One Piece marks the end of Wano Arc, and you can read the official chapter on Sunday, August 21st, 2022. The chapter will be available to read for free on Viz Media and Manga Plus.
