Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal announced that the company’s first electric vehicle– Ola Scooter– will officially arrive on August 15. He also mentioned that more details around the Ola Scooter will be revealed on the launch date. Ola’s first scooter got 1 lakh reservation within a day after the company started to accept bookings on July 15 at Rs 499. Those who have booked can cancel and get their money back before deliveries begin.
The Ola Scooter will come in 10 colour options and is expected to offer a range of 150 km on a single charge. As for speeds, the Ola Scooter is said to be capable of reaching a top speed of 100 kmph.

The company claims that the battery of the scooter can charge up to 50 per cent in 18 minutes with 75km of range when it is paired with the Ola Hypercharger network. Ola Electric is said to have more than 1 lakh charging points across 400 cities in the country.
The electric scooter is said to offer a large boot space, app-based keyless access, and a segment-leading range. It will also have features like dual projector headlamp, single-piece seat, external charging port, LED DRL and taillight, a black coloured floor mat and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The company hasn’t revealed any details around the pricing of the Ola Scooter and more details are expected during the launch event on August 15.
