Among the treasure you’ll collect, newly acquired accessories can be the most interesting and game-changing items to come across. Weapons and armor are often just stat increases, but accessories are mix-and-match trinkets that have a ton of customization opportunities.

Some items on this list are rewards from completing side quests, while others are in treasure chests hiding in plain sight – engaging in optional content can really pay off. So look around every corner and speak to every NPC, then your party will always have the best loot.

10 Protective Necklace

For characters like Temenos and Castti, staying alive is their top priority. If your party’s healer dies in combat, it can be extremely challenging to keep up with incoming damage. Having a strong defensive accessory can be the key to keeping low HP units in the fight.

The Protective Necklace gives a unit +80 Physical Defense and +80 Elemental Defense, allowing them able to tank more damage. Perfect for fights with unavoidable damage or area-of-effect spells, this accessory will keep your lower HP units in the action longer.

9 Rosary Of Redemption

The Rosary of Redemption transforms from the worst accessory in the game into one of the best (with a little bit of help). If you can combine this accessory with a Blessing in Disguise (read further into the article to learn more), the stats on the Rosary of Redemption reverse.

Starting out with -60 Physical Attack and -60 Critical, equipping the Rosary of Redemption by itself is worse than having nothing equipped. But when combined with the Blessing in Disguise, the stats change into +60 Physical Attack and +60 Critical – making it an extremely high value for most of the game.

Boss fights in Octopath Traveler 2 can be challenging, especially when your party is under-leveled for the content. A strong boss can 1-shot your lower HP party members when it hits with a single-target ability. Found in a chest on the Nameless Isle, the Finisher’s Claws is an amazing offensive companion. When equipped, Finisher’s Claws raise the damage dealt by critical hits. Perfectly paired with a Critical Necklace, Finisher’s Claws can make units crush your foes.

Best when used by Hikari or Ochette in your party, these two can benefit heavily from Finisher’s Claws. Make sure whichever character has Finisher’s Claws also has the Warrior Support Skill Deal More Damage so that they can go above 9,999 damage (because they will).

5 Librarian’s Amulet

A perfect balance of offense and defense, the Librarian’s Amulet is a spell caster’s best friend. Rewarded from a side quest inside the library at Montwise, the Librarian’s Amulet grants a unit +120 SP and +120 Elemental Defense.

For simply procuring a few peculiar tombs for a scholarly girl, this amazing accessory will easily become your spell casters’ favorite item. Once you’ve gotten the Librarian’s Amulet, the only debate on how to use it will be whether you’re going to put it on your healer or your mage.

4 Empowering Necklace

Accessories that provide additional HP are some of the best early-game items that you can find. Low HP units will want all the additional health they can find, as it makes your party-wide heals more effective and will save you some Olives of Life.

Once you can survive the road to Merry Hills in the Crestlands, head there as soon as possible. The Empowering Necklace is sitting in a treasure chest in the northern part of the city, just outside of the shrine. This item gives a traveler an astounding +1000 HP.

3 Fang Of Ferocity

If you have access to the Great Terry and can survive through a Danger Level 52 dungeon, you should seek out the Fang Of Ferocity. This accessory is the most powerful accessory that you can get your hands on because it raises a unit’s damage dealt by boosted attacks.

This advantage is huge because most of the damage you’ll use to eliminate foes is done through boosted attacks. Guarding this accessory is the 145,000 HP Tyrannodrake, a tough and versatile boss that you’ll have to beat.

2 EXP Augmentor

Within the Sundering Sea and inside a treasure chest is the EXP Augmentor. Immediately after unlocking Partito’s ship you should sail north of the New Delsta Harbor and fetch the accessory that increases all EXP gains.
