Nintendo Fixes Issue of Pokemon Home Transferred Pocket Monsters Forgetting Moves in Scarlet and Violet

Nintendo has finally addressed the issues plaguing Pokemon Home users when transferring their Pokemon to Scarlet and Violet games. Apparently, some Pokemon were unable to retain the moves they learnt in previous games where they were caught and trained these moves. Since Scarlet and Violet do not follow the same move options as in previous games for some Pokemon, players who relied on their Pokemon to know a specific move were struggling.

Pokemon Home Version 3.0.0

This issue has now been fixed, as announced in a new update for Pokemon Home. Nintendo said that the new Pokemon Home version 3.0.0 update will add more compatibility for these Pokemon that are being transferred.

“When bringing a Pokémon from Pokémon HOME into a linked game, you will be able to change the moves it knows from among a list of moves it has learned up to that point,” said Nintendo. This means that players will now have the option to select which moves the Pokemon can retain when transferred to Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.

There have been over 40 new Pokemon now available in Scarlet and Violet, thanks to the integration of the Pokemon Home app with the Nintendo games. Pokemon had announced this integration with an earlier release date by mistake. While they never really explained how the mistake happened, the new update was eventually rolled out. However, fans were quick to discover that some Pokemon’s moves were automatically reset after being transferred to either of these games. Nintendo added in their announcement that more features will be added to Pokemon Home version 3.0.0 but nothing specific has been revealed yet.
