Neira Claims Women’s Golfer of the Week Honor

Bowling Green, Ky. – Cumberlands’ (Ky.) Maria Neira is the MSC Women’s Golfer of the Week following her performance at the Music City Classic, conference officials announced Monday.

• Neira finished tied for second with a 54-hole score of 221 (+5)
• After shooting 77 (+5) in both the first and second rounds, Neira climbed 30 spots on the leaderboard with a 67 (-5) in the third round.
• Her round three performance was the best single round of the tournament by three strokes.
• She carded 10 birdies in the tournament, seven of which came in the final round.
• Her performance aided the Patriots to a third place finish amongst a field that included six NAIA top-ten teams.
• This is Neira’s second career MSC weekly award.
