30 years after the release of the original Power Rangers, the iconic band of heroes reunite for the upcoming standalone film, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always.
The Netflix film stars members from the first group of Power Rangers, which includes David Yost (Blue Ranger), and Zack Taylor (Black Ranger). It also features second generation heroes in Steve Cardenas (Red Ranger), Karan Ashley (Yellow Ranger), and Johnny Yong Bosch (Black Ranger).

The film’s trailer gives a hint on what to expect, starting with the return of Rita Repulsa, the franchise’s iconic villain. With a new body, Repulsa has come to create havoc, and during a battle with the heroes, she kills the first Yellow Ranger, Trini Kwan.
Soon enough, the Rangers find out that Rita Repulsa is creating a time portal to enter a world before Zordon grants the group the abilities of Power Rangers. The reunion is filled with all of the classic Power Rangers elements such as fighting, explosives, and massive Zord battles.
Even though the film will feature some of the series’ most classic characters, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always has a massive omission in popular character Tommy Oliver, the original Green Ranger and White Ranger, following the death of actor Jason David Frank last year.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always releases on Netflix on April 19.
