Microsoft has just revealed its new method to allow players to try out the PC Game Pass for free. A new referral program has been launched by Microsoft to allow Xbox Ultimate and PC Game Pass members to bring their friends to the membership as well. It is a 14-day free trial of the PC Game Pass.
Xbox has highlighted that the referral program is only redeemable for users who have never used Game Pass before.
Players can invite up to five people to try out the Xbox Game Pass for PC. Microsoft previously had a $1 Game Pass trial offer for users.
The company discontinued that offer back in March. This new offer is supposed to bring new players to the service, and it seems to be planned alongside the release of Redfall.
Players can invite their friends through the Xbox Game Pass home tab or by visiting the official website.
Xbox’s one of the biggest exclusives of the year has had a rocky start since its launch. There have been mostly unfavourable reviews from critics and fans alike about Redfall, which looks unpolished and buggy.
Some players are also frustrated that Xbox’s major exclusive was launched at 30 FPS. However, the developers did confirm that 60 FPS support will be added in a future update.
Xbox Game Pass titles for May 2023
Meanwhile, Microsoft has revealed the Xbox Game Pass titles coming to the service in May 2023.
Joining Redfall, it is Ravenlok which arrives this month. It is an action RPG made by Cococucumber, and it will be available on May 4.
Weird West: Definitive Edition is coming on May 8, and it’s also an action RPG. It is developed by WolfEye Studios, co-creators of Dishonored and Prey.
Shadowrun Trilogy will be coming to PC Game Pass on May 9 and this tactical RPG is set in a dystopian cyberpunk future.
Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 joins Xbox Game Pass on May 11 and this sequel game will also feature turn-based gameplay and RPG elements with a new event system.
Xbox Game Pass has also brought back Besiege and Quantum Break to the service, and they are available now.
