Xbox players have been accustomed to a similar UI experience since the days of Xbox One and there is one major complaint that every player has faced since then.
Due to their tile-based UI which basically takes up their entire screen, players are not able to really enjoy the wallpapers they have set for their console.
PlayStation changed their UI majorly when they moved from the PS4 to the PS5. Since the PS5 has comes, themes have been completely knocked out of the door from the console.
However, players have received a much cleaner UI, that only takes a small part of the screen, leaving the major part of the screen to by covered by a visual associated to the game you are hovering on.
It seems like Microsoft has finally caught on to the problem as they have recently released a blog post that acknowledges this negative feedback towards their console’s user interface.
Ivy Krislov, Senior Product Manager Lead, Xbox Experiences assures players that the team understands that “the changes to the top of Home did not leave enough space for you to enjoy your backgrounds and that it felt crowded”.
He added that the team now has their attention towards creating a balanced experience with “accessibility, function, and the needs of our community and bring you a great and refreshed Home experience”. Krislov has also thanked the players for providing this valuable feedback and will be sharing more updates on the UI soon.
Couldn’t have made this happen without your feedback. Stay tuned, the new Xbox Home experience is coming soon pic.twitter.com/aByQSbdHyg
