microsoft: Here’s how Windows 11 wallpaper sticker feature will work – Times of India

Earlier this month, we saw numerous reports revealing that Microsoft is planning to roll out wallpaper stickers for Windows 11 users. The stickers are said to provide users a new way to personalise PCs as per their liking. At that time, we were not aware how the feature would work. Now Twitter user Albacore, who spotted the feature, has shared a video showing a demo of the desktop background stickers.
As per the video, the option to add or change the desktop stickers can be found in the Settings app. Users can pick from numerous stickers offered by the company. The video also shows that once you click on the sticker, you will be able to move around the desktop and resize it as per your choice. The sticker will stay on the desktop even when you change the wallpaper. So, if you want to remove the sticker, you have to do it manually.
The stickers seem to be grouped according to specific characters. However there is no specific way to filter out the stickers. “Using the new sticker editor you can pick, place, and resize stickers as you like. It can be accessed through Settings or by right-clicking your desktop.” wrote Albacore in his Twitter post.

Currently, Windows 11 comes with a wide range of features that users can access to customise the appearance of their PC. You can pick accent colours as per the apps you use or your wallpaper. It also comes with a transparency effect for apps called Mica.
Microsoft is also reportedly planning a new email client under the Outlook brand. According to a previous report by WindowsLatest, Microsoft’s project codenamed ‘Project Monarch’ is aimed at building a cross-platform email app for users.
Currently Windows 10 and Windows 11 come with a pre-installed Mail & Calendar app based on Universal Windows Platform (UWP). The app follows a Windows 10 style user interface and has its limitations. That’s why most of the users prefer using the Outlook desktop app or web app. The report by WindowsLatest suggests that the company may roll out a new Outlook app under Project Monarch. The report further reveals that Microsoft may promote the new app as a reboot of the Mail & Calendar app.
