Medical equipment donated to MPMMMCC to upgrade infraVaranasi: Utkarsh Welfare Foundation (UWF) donated medical equipment, and related systems to upgrade the medical infrastructure of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre on Friday.

The event was attended by the district magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma, senior executives from Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, Utkarsh Welfare Foundation and the Cancer Centre. Speaking on the occasion, the DM said that it is heartening to know that organizations such as Utkarsh Welfare Foundation are extending their assistance towards improvement of the medical infrastructure for the larger benefit of the society. Such improvement in medical infrastructure goes a long way in support of the medical fraternity and to provide necessary medical assistance during emergencies especially during unprecedented times such as the pandemic.

Prof Himendu P Mathur, Chairperson- Utkarsh Welfare Foundation said that Utkarsh Welfare Foundation has been in the forefront in providing, education, health and vocational training program, empowering grass root population especially women, making them self-reliant and transforming them into successful entrepreneurs. As an important measure towards providing a meaningful and valuable assistance to local health care, hospitals and health institutions, the foundation has been undertaking significant initiatives under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to improve the medical infrastructure and therefore have supported with the requisite medical equipment and facilities to the MPMMCC.

These equipments were identified after discussion with the hospital authorities. While the hospital is well equipped for Cancer patients, there was an immediate need of equipments to treat patients afflicted by the Covid-19 pandemic and for critical care during medical emergencies.’
