The MCU is headed to Madame Tussauds New York, and Marvel is giving fans a taste of the new exhibit at New York Comic-Con.
Marvel’s NYCC booth features two life-size wax statues from the Madame Tussauds exhibit, including one depicting Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and a newly revealed statue of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. In addition to these two wax statues, Marvel has a pair of costumes from Thor: Love and Thunder on display – the suits worn by Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster.
While Hasbro doesn’t have a booth display at NYCC this year, Marvel is previewing a handful of upcoming Marvel Legends releases. That includes a trio of figures – Pink Costume Deadpool, Spider-Man Costume Ms. Marvel and Frank Castle as Venom – which will only be offered as bonuses to annual subscribers of the Marvel Unlimited digital comics service.
The booth is also playing home to a prototype of Hasbro’s latest HasLab creation, the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider and his Hell Charger. The car is designed at the typical Marvel Legends 1:12 scale and features light-up flame effects. This display also includes new Goblin Queen and Mephisto figures, both of which are being offered as stretch goals in the current HasLab crowdfunding campaign. The campaign is currently at about 5250 of the necessary 9000 subscribers, so it remains to be seen if the Hell Charger set will actually be released.
