Loki Season 2 Gets Official Release Date

Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 6, Disney has announced.

Alongside star Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius and Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer are set to return. Loki creator Michael Waldron has teased that Season 2 will continue to peel back the layers of the God of Mischief while following up on the events of the first season. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are reportedly set to direct a majority of the season. The pair previously worked on Moon Knight, another Disney+ MCU series.

We got our first look at Loki Season 2 last September at D23 2022. In the clip shown to fans in the room, Loki was seen returning to the TVA offices following the end of Season 1.

The first season of Loki was very important for the MCU as a whole. The show set up the Multiverse Saga’s villain in the form of Kang the Conqueror, and became Disney+’s most-watched Marvel show.

We called the first season of Loki great, saying in our review, “Loki’s six episodes overcome an uneven first half to become a great and exhilaratingly consequential season of television.” The series also took third place in our ranking of every Phase 4 MCU movie and show.

The company also revealed that Echo Season 1 is coming this November, and that it will be the first MCU series to drop its full season all at once. For more, check out every release date we know about for upcoming Marvel movies and shows.
