In the video, we are run through a recap of every cutting-edge design initiative taken by Lenovo over the years such as the 360° convertible laptop with Yoga lineup, foldable ThinkPad laptop, and Moto Razr series of phones.

Mr. Rossi then emphasizes the company’s deep investment in flexible OLED tech and goes on to show examples of some proof of concepts they are currently working on.

He shows how clicking a side-mounted button expands the screen and clicking the same button retracts the thing to a size that’s smaller than regular smartphones. Interestingly enough, the demo also shows content dynamically adjusting to the changing (rolling) form factor.

Next up, we are shown a rollable PC display. We are lured into possibilities this form factor could bring in terms of multi-tasking, browsing, and on-the-go computing experiences.

Promises and commitments aside, only time can tell how these designs pan out in the actual world. We’ll see.
