LCS 2022 Summer Split is in full swing, with teams like Immortals, TSM, and Golden Guardians struggling in the bottom pack to clinch their playoff spot. 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses, on the other hand, are in a fierce competition to claim the top spot before the league heads to the playoff stage. Dignitas is also out of contention due to their lack of consistency throughout the regular season.
Only three weeks left until the start of the playoff stage in the 2022 LCS Summer, and some perennial teams such as Cloud9 and Team Liquid have been trying to save themselves from the mid-pack. Also, 100 Thieves geared up to catch Evil Geniuses to repeat their success in the 2021 Summer Split, where they crowned the champions of North America.

Counter Logic Gaming Astonished Team Liquid
Although Team Liquid made an excellent start to the week against Immortals in a dominant fashion, the North American super team stumbled against Counter Logic Gaming, who left their mark on the summer season with their young lineup. Having captured the top spot a couple of weeks ago by taking down the defending champion, Counter Logic Gaming moved back to fifth place, but they can still give trouble to every team in the league. CLG will reach their goals when they make it to the playoffs considering they were one of the weakest teams in the league over the past two years.
100 Thieves started off the second round-robin of the regular season with a perfect week, where they ended Evil Geniuses’ winning streak. Having bested TSM in their first match, 100 Thieves got their revenge on Evil Geniuses thanks to a superior performance by their European mid-laner, Felix ”Abbedagge” Braun. They put a great showing throughout the game, preventing Ahri and Poppy from roaming around the map until the late phase.
Evil Geniuses, on the other hand, looks like they somehow will finish the regular split in first place regardless of how the other teams will perform in the rest of the season. Due to a subpar performance against their closest rival, Evil Geniuses left a question mark for the upcoming weeks.
Immortals Took A Pivotal Win Over TSM
Immortals showed signs of life in the bottom pack with a convincing victory over TSM, having been pulverized by Team Liquid in their first game of week six. They are now tied in eighth place with 3W 8L, meaning Immortals will have to keep performing better than TSM and Dignitas to secure their tentative playoff spot.
Week seven of the 2022 LCS Summer will deliver a batch of hectic matches between the top and bottom teams. Immortals will take on 100 Thieves and Evil Geniuses to squeeze at least one of them.
