Last Of Us-Themed Haunted House Coming To Universal Studios For Halloween Horror Nights 2023

While fans wait for news about the next Last of Us video game, Universal Studios has revealed that a Last of Us-themed haunted house is coming to its theme parks later this year.

The haunted house is part of Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, and it will open at the Orlando park on September 1 and at the Hollywood location on September 7.

The Last of Us-themed haunted house will take fans “into a world of carnage and mayhem” as they trace the steps of Joel and Ellie from the game, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. In the haunted house, people will encounter all different types of infected, including Runners, Stalkers, and Clickers, as well as human Hunters.

The haunted house is set in the Pittsburgh Quarantine Zone, and it will feature locations from the game like the Hotel Grand and the dark and scary tunnels.

Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann said it was an honor to have The Last of Us featured at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event. “It has been an incredible thrill for us at Naughty Dog to collaborate with Universal, bringing the world of the game to life, focusing on even the tiniest details that our fans know so well,” Druckmann said.

Tickets for Halloween Horror Nights are on sale now for both locations. The events run through Tuesday, October 31. More details around Halloween Horror Nights 2023, including other haunted houses, will be announced shortly.

As for the Last of Us game series, Naughty Dog’s anticipated multiplayer game is undergoing some development changes and a new single-player project is now in the works. Additionally, the HBO TV series is coming back for a second season. It was planned for release in 2025, but that was prior to the onset of the writers’ strike, so plans may have shifted.
