Keanu Reeves recently participated in an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit to promote his upcoming film, John Wick: Chapter 4. In the AMA session, he answered fans’ burning questions.
Among these, he also talked about which film props he kept and why, his stunt training for The Matrix and John Wick, as well as the Marvel character that he’d most like to play.
Keanu Reeves kept some of the coolest props from some of his movies
Talking about the coolest props that he kept, Reeves revealed that he kept a watch and a wedding ring from John Wick. He kept a sword from 47 Ronin, and the first red pill that the Wachowski sisters ever gave him from The Matrix. These items must have had a sentimental value for the actor, as he has chosen to keep them as a reminder of the films he did which established his career.
Stunt work for The Matrix and John Wick
The actor was asked to compare the king fu training he underwent for The Matrix with the jiu-jitsu training for John Wick. Reeves stated in response that both forms of training were special to him in their own way. He revealed that nothing can compare to the kung fu training he underwent for The Matrix, as it was his first time experiencing something like that. However, he also praised the jiu-jitsu training in John Wick for its unique integration with judo and gunfights.
Keanu Reeves and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)
The John Wick star was also asked if there was a role that he regretted turning down. He responded that he hadn’t; however, he did reveal the Marvel character he’d most like to play – Wolverine.
Reeves’ interest in playing Wolverine is not new, but it is exciting to see him doubling down on it now that Marvel Studios has the rights to the X-Men franchise.
