Karnataka Examinations Authority is conducting the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET 2022 from today onwards. The KCET Exam would be conducted for over a period of three days i.e., up to June 18, 2022.
The KCET is conducted for candidates seeking admission in engineering, pharmacy agriculture, veterinary and other technical courses in the state colleges of Karnataka.

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has asked students to strictly adhere to the new dress code when they appear for Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022, scheduled for June 16-18.

Vijay Karnataka, Ramya S, executive director, KEA, said the new dress code aims to bring in more accountability and transparency in the exam process.
Full-sleeve shirts, clothes covering the head and ears, watches, jewellery, modern electronic equipment and pencils are not allowed.
“There have been concerns over watches being disallowed. We’ve asked all centres to have clocks so that there is no inconvenience. Apart from this, students are advised to know the bell timings, which will give them an idea of how much their exams have progressed,” she said.
“Do not bring valuables. You will have to leave them behind with your parents if you do. When you leave bags outside, write your names and your parents’ phone number. This way, we can track them even if someone takes your bag by mistake,” she said.
Separate rooms will be made available for students who are unwell.
“If a student comes in a full-sleeve shirt, the centre will either ask him or her to fold it up or the exam centre will offer a replacement T-shirt. But this is not recommended, especially during Covid times,” Ramya said.
Students have to arrive at least one hour prior to the exam in order to complete initial formalities like frisking.
Water bottles have to be transparent with no stickers or writings. Students have to bring a photo ID card and hall ticket. Only 2-3 ball points are allowed. No pencils or ink-pens will be permitted.
Students have to be careful while writing the alpha-numerical version code. The name, CET number and signature have to be mentioned as well. There will be a duplicate copy of OMR sheets for students to take home.
