Spring-summer 2022 fashion season is all about optimism as lockdown restrictions are gradually beginning to lift, fuelling the emergence of hot trends like micro-mini skirts, sky-high heels, glitzy tops, low-slung waistlines, bold stripes, solar shades, corsets and bustier tops and Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan is no stranger to them. For her latest photoshoot, the diva brought sexy back into our summer closet and laid fashion cues to breathe new life into our working from home wardrobes as she slew a co-ord style in ₹1 lakh bustier, shorts and shirt set.
The pictures currently flooding the Internet show Kareena tapping into the desire for complete escapism in Nineties/Y2K style that is stubbornly sticking around this season. The picture feature Kareena dolled up in a linen bustier that came in off-white base, sported yellow floral prints all over and a plunging neckline to ooze oomph.
It came with tuck pleats through the cups and adjustable self tie rouleau shoulder straps along with hook and eye closure at centre back. Kareena teamed it with a pair of matching cotton high waisted shorts that featured a paperbag silhouette, a soft raffia edging at the waistband, hem and belt buckle.
Sporting side seam pockets, the shorts came with an invisible zip at centre back along with a removable self cover belt with raffia buckle. The attire was layered with a matching boxy cotton shirt with stand collar and oversized short sleeves.
It featured two tone crochet centre front button closure and contrast soft raffia edging throughout. Leaving her luscious tresses open down her back in side-parted hairstyle, Kareena accessorised her look with a stack of finger rings from Shoplune, a starfish monogram necklace from Kira and another neckpiece from Summer Somewhere.
The co-ord set is credited to the iconic Australian brand, Zimmermann, that boasts of sophisticated femininity, a passion for detail and a love of colour and print. While the bustier originally costs $425 or ₹32,480 on the designer website, the shorts are priced at $550 or ₹42,034 and the shirt costs $795 or ₹60,758 approximately.
