Kanye West Restricted by Twitter and Instagram Over Alleged Antisemitic Comments

Celebrated hip-hop star Kanye West has gotten himself into trouble with social media platforms Twitter and Instagram, as he has now been restricted from both websites over his recent alleged antisemitic comments.

The rapper behind songs like Stronger and Runaway was first restricted by the Meta-owned Instagram, where he posted on his account quite often. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Meta restricted his account for violating the platform’s policies repeatedly. However, it’s unclear which posts caused such an infraction.

With West’s future on Instagram up in the air, the hip-hop artist shared his thoughts on Twitter, with the platform’s newest owner Elon Musk even welcoming his return.

However, things went south quite quickly for West, as he was soon restricted on Twitter as well, as one of his tweets violated the platform’s policies for its alleged antisemitic nature.

The 45-year-old has found himself in quite the hot water over the last few weeks for a variety of reasons. This includes the criticism surrounding the “White Lives Matter” T-Shirts worn by the models that ran for Kanye’s fashion brand Yeezy during the Paris Fashion Week. Several celebrities since then have taken issue with Kanye’s decision. However, the rapper has defended his choices, with West even sharing his opinions on cancel culture.

It’s unclear if Kanye West’s accounts on Instagram and Twitter will be devoid of any restrictions in the near future, and it seems like it will be a waiting game for the Flashing Lights artist.
