It’s been a couple of years since Zack Snyder’s run with DC characters ended with the release of his wildly successful director’s cut of Justice League on HBO Max.
Since then, the famed director has stepped away from working on DC projects, as James Gunn took over to build a new cohesive universe, starting with his Superman: Legacy film.
While Snyder has moved on to making a new space franchise for Netflix in Rebel Moon, the Man of Steel director continues to receive affection for his DC Extended Universe (DCEU) films from his die-hard fandom.
Snyder continues to have conversations at events, where he talks about some of the unused ideas he had for his DC Universe. At the recent Full Circle fundraiser event for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the Army of the Dead director shared a wild concept to connect two of the three DC Trinity members.

As many would know, the DC Trinity comprises Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, who are three of the most famed characters of the popular publisher.
At the event, Snyder revealed a crazy concept of linking the latter two characters, by making Zeus a Kryptonian in the DCEU. The Greek God is a major part of the Amazonian’s history, and he’s even the father of Diana as well.
This would make Superman and Woman Wonder share the same lineage, with the characters’ ancestry linked in the DCEU, which is wildly different from that in the comics.
Snyder claimed that his idea was rooted in providing a scientific reason for Wonder Woman’s powers. However, such concepts never materialised for Gal Gadot’s character in the DCEU.
