Quick Links
The first few episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 cover Gojo’s Past Arc. Taking place when he and his classmates are students at Jujutsu High, Gojo and Geto are tasked with defending and escorting the Star Plasma Vessel to Master Tengen.
The Star Religious Group knows of this and hires Toji Fushiguro, the Sorcerer Killer, to hunt down and kill Riko, The Star Plasma Vessel. While it takes a bit longer for Toji himself to engage with to Sorcerers, he shows himself to be a threat worthy of the Sorcerer Killer title.

Is Riko Dead?
At the end of the third episode, we see Gojo being defeated and on death’s door. Now past Gojo, Toji is able to shoot Riko in the head when Geto’s guard is down. While Riko is the Star Plasma Vessel, she has no real powers or abilities that could protect her from an attack. After being shot by Toji, she is killed immediately.
While some sorcerers have been shown to be able to heal themselves with Reverse Cursed Techniques, even fewer can heal another person. Riko’s wound is immediately fatal, and Geto cannot heal or help her. Riko is dead, and her chances of surviving and fusing with Master Tengen are impossible.
What Happens To Master Tengen
Riko was the newest Star Plasma Vessel to be merged with Master Tengen to undo their Immortality. Without merging, Tengen will continue to age and evolve. By the events of the first season of Jujutsu High, Tengen has already evolved past their humanity and no longer has the appearance of a human. The full effects of not merging are unknown, but it is feared that Tengen will forever evolve until they lose their sense of self and no longer support Jujutsu Society with their barriers.
