Jujutsu Kaisen: Does Gojo Satoru Die In The Series?

Gojo Satoru gives life to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. Being the strongest sorcerer, the show usually revolves around him, and his lively nature and larger-than-life personality make him a fan favorite. In the shows like Jujutsu Kaisen, where death lurks around every corner and Curses hunt normal humans and Sorcerers, witnessing the deaths of our favorite characters is inevitable. However, seeing our beloved Gojo Saturu in such a miserable state would be the last thing any JJK fan would ever wish for.

Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, episode 3 is now out, and the events couldn’t be any more depressing. Toji Fushiguro confronted Gojo Satoru, and the Strongest Sorcerer alive had a hard time battling against the Sorcerer Killer. Toji’s lack of Cursed Energy gave a hard time to Gojo Satoru, rendering his ultimate attack, Limitless, pretty useless, slashing his body multiple times and leaving him on the floor like dead meat in a pool of blood. It seems like an end for Gojo, or if we say in the language of Jujutsu Kaisen fans, it seems Gojoover.

How Did Toji Fushiguro Break Gojo’s Limitless?

While Gojo is the supreme master of sorcery, Toji Fushiguro is an unpredictable beast with unfathomable physical powers. While in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, those who lack Cursed Energy are rendered weak, Toji Fushiguro managed to turn this limitation into his greatest strength. Whether we talk about speed or raw physical strength, it’s hard to accept, but Toji surpasses Gojo to a far extent, and without his sorcery powers, Gojo doesn’t stand a chance against the Sorcerer Killer.

Believing in his ultimate defense, the Limitless, Gojo left his guard down, but soon understood that his defense wouldn’t work against Toji’s attacks and his arsenal. Taking advantage of the opening, Toji used his Special Grade Cursed Tool, the Inverted Spear of Heaven, known for canceling the effects of Cursed Techniques — even if they are as powerful as Limitless. With Gojo’s Limitless compromised, Toji managed to slash through Gojo multiple times, leaving him lying wounded on the ground.

Will Gojo Die In Jujutsu Kaisen?

If you think someone like Toji Fushiguro and his mere slashes on the body could kill someone like Gojo, then you don’t really know the extent of his powers yet. While Toji leaves to battle Suguru next, Gojo is simply shown alive, who saved the day for himself by activating his ultimate healing technique, Reversed Cursed Technique, which could use the Cursed Energy for healing purposes. Very few sorcerers have the ability to use Reverse Cursed Technique, and Gojo is one of them.

Although Toji’s attacks on Gojo looked brutal, we can still say the former went a little easy on the latter. The only way the magic of the Reverse Cursed Technique can be stopped is by destroying the head of the enemy completely, as the Cursed Energy used to activate RCT originates from the head. And when the head is destroyed, RCT cannot be used at all. Another way to stop RCT’s activation is by the use of poison. But, as Toji didn’t comply with any of the two conditions, Gojo managed to activate RCT and heal himself completely.

The only effect of Toji’s attack goes to the extent that Gojo feels crazy, and with all his confidence, he states that he will win the next match for sure. He explains to Toji how Reverse Cursed Technique works, and the two engage in a fierce battle again.
