Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Can Be Streamed Now in India on Crunchyroll

Indian anime fans can now stream Jujutsu Kaisen 0 on Crunchyroll. The film is available in both sub and English dub, and can be accessed on the anime streaming platform by clicking here.

The film was a hit in Indian cinemas when it opened on June 30, 2022, and made ₹5.4 crore (approximately US$681,629) in earnings in its first weekend. The success of an anime film in India came as a surprise to the industry and even motivated the distributor, PVR Pictures, to bring more anime content to India.

If you haven’t watched the Jujutsu Kaisen series (five reasons here why you should), you can still watch the Jujutsu Kaisen 0, as it serves as a prequel to the anime series. In my review of the film, I called it a “great introduction for anyone who is looking to give the show a try.”

Jujutsu Kaisen 0’s opening was a very successful one thanks to enthusiastic anime fans in India. The film’s shows went houseful even in cities like Patna, Kochi, Prayagraj, and Lucknow. Despite initially only being launched in a few major cities, PVR Pictures added more locations on the opening day in response to the film’s popularity. This move was met with even more success, with over 50,000 tickets sold in pre-sales on the opening day.

PVR Pictures stated at the time that the anime film’s performance came as a surprise.

“We are overwhelmed with the response this film has garnered, and it has motivated us to bring more anime content to India. We assure all our followers and Indian anime fans that we have a good line up this year. Their requests and suggestions for more films inspire us to do better and keep them happy,” the company’s CEO, Kamal Gianchandnani, said.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was added on Amazon Prime Video in India in December and with Crunchyroll also adding the film to its catalogue in the country, it is surely a good time to be an anime fan in India.
