JugJugg Jeeyo box office day 4 collection: Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor’s film falls by huge margin on first Monday

JugJugg Jeeyo seems to have had a challenging Monday, despite having an impressive first weekend. The Monday collections of the film reportedly fell to almost 50 percent. Starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul, JugJugg Jeeyo has been directed by Raj Mehta of Good Newwz fame. The metros saw a drop in the 50 percent range. The collections on the Monday will probably fall in the ₹4.50-4.75 crore nett range, giving the film around ₹39.50 crore nett plus, reported Boxofficeindia.com.

“Ideally the drop the drop should have been more towards the 35-40% range but it will end up just about on the right side of 50% and this will actually be thanks to the mass pockets which have dropped less due to their low start on Friday and lesser of a ticket pricing drop in these places. At the end of the day the film has not held up well but neither has it crashed,” the report stated.

Backed by Dharma Productions, JugJugg Jeeyo is a comedy drama that centres on a family, where both father (Anil Kapoor) and son (Varun Dhawan) are planning to divorce their partners. Varun has said the film presents a fresh take on infidelity and divorce. “The end of this film is unpredictable. We are used to dealing with the theme of infidelity on a surface level and then brush it under the carpet. In this film, it has been dealt with in a interesting way. It’s progressive and a new take. Hopefully, people will be happy with it,” the actor told PTI at a promotional event ahead of the film’s release.

“We haven’t tried to give any answers but have presented it in an entertaining way. Hopefully, these characters will lead audiences to some answers,” he added.
