Jeremy Renner got into a terrifying snow plowing accident just over a week ago. It left the actor in critical condition, but he was stable, fortunately. Renner has remained positive and grateful, as he took to social media to thank the hospital staff and share updates on his recovery.
On his 52nd birthday, Renner posted an Instagram story thanking the “Renowned Medical ICU team” for their efforts (via Deadline). He previously shared a video on his Twitter account featuring his mother and sister. These updates are a far cry from the initial reports of the accident, which occurred when the Snowcat plow Renner was using at his Nevada home rolled over and ran over his leg.
Luckily for Renner, a neighbour who also happened to be a doctor was nearby and rushed to his aid. He applied a tourniquet to reduce Renner’s blood loss until paramedics arrived. The actor was then taken to a local hospital via airlifting and went through intensive surgeries for blunt chest trauma and orthopaedic injuries.
Renner has received an outpouring of support from family, fans, and his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars, including Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans. While it’s great to see that the actor is keeping his spirits up, there is no information for his release from the intensive care unit.
